How are you going with your start up?
Starting up in a new business is sometimes a scary decision and with most new businesses failing within the first two years it is a smart decision to get some good council before taking the plunge.
Have you ever watched The Voice or Australia's Got Talent?
Often I find people who have had discussions with friends and family about starting a new business. Friends and family are often not the people to discuss this with. I am not saying not to discuss your idea with them, but their opinion can be fraught with danger. Have you ever watched TV shows such as The Voice or Australia's got talent? You turn on the show and see people crushed as they perform. Sometimes they can not sing to save themselves. The sad thing is friends and family want to encourage you just like the singers on these shows. Just because a business idea sounds like a good idea, it does not always mean it is a good idea. Just like on the TV shows, nobody says don't go on this show you really cant sing that well. Business is the same people will agree with you as not to offend you and that can be very dangerous ground.
I personally have started 9 businesses of my own and I have never had anyone say do not do this. I am lucky as all my businesses were pretty successful but there were a couple I should of never started.
