Motivating staff is an important part of being in business in fact it is just as important as marketing your business. When staff are left to their own devices systems break down and sales suffer. In the same way if your management style is one that makes staff feel like they are going to be wacked with a big stick the culture within a work place can become very toxic very quickly which will also cost you sales.

 

There is a fine line as a business owner when it comes to balancing work place relations and motivating or demotivating staff.
